Taxonomy Identification: Family Mantidae, First named by Saussure in 1869

Colour: The forewing cover of this Mantid is pale brown to green with yellow/black bar. Hindwings are black with pinkish red bar along leading margin.

Size: Length measuring from the tip of the head to the end of the abdomen but excluding the legs and antenna: 28-40mm. Wingspan 40-50mm.
